1962 Hall of Fame Election
In the 1962 Hall of Fame Election, 120 of 160 votes were needed for election.
Bob Feller and Jackie Robinson were elected on the first ballot, the first time that anyone had gone in on the first ballot since the initial ballot in 1936.
In addition, the Veterans Committee elected two persons, in long-time manager Bill McKechnie and OF Edd Roush. All four were still alive and able to attend the induction ceremony held on July 23, 1962 in Cooperstown, NY.
