Since the Colorado Rockies entered the league in 1993, the mile-high air in Denver has always been a haven for home-run hitters. At first in Mile High Stadium and at Coors Field since 1995, balls have been launched at a prodigious rate by the Rockies and their guests. The Blake Street Bombers were very intimidating in the mid 90s, and the Rox have had several other scary bats since then. As you might expect, even though this is a relatively young franchise, the Rockies have several players with very impressive career home-run totals. Prepare to have your ears pop as we travel to Denver and count down the all-time leaders in home runs for the Colorado Rockies.

The Toronto Blue Jays entered MLB in 1977. Their first few seasons were rough … 107 losses in ‘77, 102 losses in ‘78, and 109 losses in ‘79 … ouch. Then from 1983 to 1993 the Blue Jays had winning seasons each year, capped by back-to-back World Series titles in ‘92 and ‘93. Overall this franchise has made a respectable 10 playoff appearances. In a relatively short existence, Toronto can boast about five Cy Youngs, two MVPs, and two ROYs. If you view a list of the top Blue Jays of all time, there is no lack of star power. Since 1989, this team has played at the majestic SkyDome (now called Rogers Centre). Being a member of the mighty American League East is never an easy path, but the Blue Jays have more than held their own. It’s time to travel north of the border and reveal the leaders in home runs for the Toronto Blue Jays.

It’s very sad to see the tradition-rich Athletics moving on from Oakland to Las Vegas. Of course, this team is used to relocating … first in Philadelphia, then to Kansas City, next stop Oakland, and eventually Las Vegas. Although the A’s have fallen on hard times, their winning ways are indisputable: 29 playoff appearances, 15 American League pennants, and 9 World Series titles (tied for 3rd all time). It’s going back a while, but Connie Mack’s Philadelphia Athletics had two impressive stretches during the first half of the 1900s. Then once the A’s were in Oakland, they added some more titles, including one of only two three-peats (1972-1974) in the Divisional Era. Later the Bash Brothers brought glory back in the late 80s. And even though they didn’t win a title, Billy Beane’s Moneyball teams of the early 2000s accomplished some remarkable stuff. This is one of MLB’s most unique franchises, and they have had some of the most unique sluggers. Let’s hop around the country and find out the leaders in home runs for the Athletics.
