1977 Little League World Series

The 1977 Little League World Series was the 31st Little League World Series. It was won by the Li-Teh team of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, which featured Ming-Tsu Lu. Li-Teh beat El Cajon, CA in the finale, 7-2. Charlie Hayes was on the Hub City (Hattiesburg, MS) squad. 1988 Olympians Greg Duce and Jim Kotkas played for Lethbridge, AB. Omer Muñoz played for Venezuela. 1977 was the first time a team from Alberta appeared and the only appearance by a team from Mississippi (through 2025).
