1957 Little League World Series
The 1957 Little League World Series was the first Little League World Series to be won by a team from outside the USA. The four entries were La Mesa, CA, Bridgeport, CT, Escanaba, MI and Monterrey, Nuevo León (the first Mexican entry). In the finale, Angel Macias of Monterrey threw a perfect game, fanning 11, to beat La Mesa, 4-0. L. Riley took the loss.
