1969 Little League World Series
The 1969 Little League World Series was the 23rd Little League World Series. The eight teams were from Valleyfield, QC, Taipei, Wiesbaden, Hesse, Mayagüez, Tampa, FL, Santa Clara, CA, Elyria, OH and Newberry, PA. In the finale, Taipei (the first entry from Taiwan in Series history) beat Santa Clara, 5-0. Tsu-Yen Cheng was the star, fanning 11 in a 3-hit, 2-walk gem. The only future major leaguer was Santa Clara outfielder Carney Lansford.
