1952 Little League World Series
The 1952 Little League World Series was the 6th Little League World Series. It included teams from Montreal, QC (the first non-US entry), Little Rock, AR (the first Arkansas team), San Diego, CA, Norwalk, CT, Whiting, IN, Hackensack, NJ, Mooresville, NC (the first team from North Carolina) and Monongahela, PA. Rich Sacane went 7 for 8 for Monongahela while Ralph DiMeglio of Norwalk hit the first grand slam in a Little League World Series. In the finale, Norwalk beat Monongahela, 4-3, as CF-C DiMeglio was 2 for 3 with a homer for the winners and SS-P Sacane 3 for 3 with a homer and two runs for the losers. R. Masi got the win, Ed Kikla the loss despite 15 whiffs.
