1967 Little League World Series
The 1967 Little League World Series was the 21st Little League World Series. West Tokyo became the first Japanese LLWS champion, beating Chicago, IL 4-1 in the finale on August 26, 1967. M. Miyahara allowed only three hits and one unearned run in six innings. The only future major leaguer present in the tournament was Bobby Mitchell of Northridge, CA. In addition to Tokyo, Chicago and Northridge, the pool consisted of Trail, BC, Rota, Cádiz, Nuevo Leon (Mexico), Tampa, FL and Newtown Square, PA.
