The 1985 Little League World Series was the 39th Little League World Series. It included teams from Binbrook, ON, Mexicali, Baja California, Al Khobar, Seoul (the most recent South Korean entry as of 2013), Maracaibo, Zulia, Minnetonka, MN, Staten Island, NY and Morristown, TN. Morristown's Richie Conway went 6 for 8. It was the first Little League World Series since 1979 which did not produce a major leaguer. It was also the only Little League World Series in which a US team did not reach the finals as Mexicali made it from a Southern California district. In the finale, Seoul beat Mexicali, 7-1, as Yong-jung You (1 H, 1 BB, 7 K, 1 UER in 6 IP) outdueled R. Ponce.
