1965 Little League World Series
The 1965 Little League World Series was the 19th Little League World Series. Eight teams participated: Stoney Creek, ON, Rota, Cádiz (the first Spanish entry), Maracaibo, Zulia (the first Venezuelan entry ever), Tokyo, Waco, TX, Phoenix, AZ (the first Arizona entry), Jeffersonville, IN and Windsor Locks, CT. In the finale, Windsor Locks beat Stoney Creek, 3-1. B. Ackles had 2 of the Canadian hits, with J. Palango taking the loss. M. Roche fanned 14 and walked 7 in the win, while D. Misiek hit a two-run homer in the 4th for the US.
