1967 Rule V Draft

The major league 1967 Rule V Draft was held November 28, while the minor league phase was held later the same day in Mexico City, Mexico. 72 players total were drafted by the major and minor league clubs. 23 players (the exact same number as the previous two years) were drafted by major league teams at a cost of $524,000, while minor league teams selected 49 players at a cost of $412,000.

In the major league draft, 20 players were taken in the regular phase while 3 players were selected under the first-year rule. Ed Sprague was the first selection of the draft, made by executive vice-president Joe DiMaggio of the newly transplanted Oakland A's.
