Team History[edit]

The Visalia Rawhide, of the California League and briefly in Low-A West, evoke TV's Rawhide with their theme song and ranch brand-like logo. The Arizona Diamondbacks farmhands play their home games at Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia, CA.

MLB's 2021 Minor League Reorganization lowered the Rawhide, and most of the Cali circuit, one level.

The Visalia Oaks became the Rawhide in 2009. An Oaks cap was among five Cali League ones that became clues to a murder in TV's Life (2007-2009).

The Diamondbacks-Visalia partnership, affiliated since 2007, survived the 2021 reorganization, and that partnership will become Visalia's longest in 2023.

The Rawhide play Copa de la Diversión Hispanic engagement campaign series as Toros de Visalia (Visalia Bulls).
