Biographical Information[edit]

First Baseman-Outfielder Rolando Arnedo was one of the first Argentinian minor leaguers. He played in the Dominican Summer League in 2001, 2003 and 2004. He helped Argentina win the 2004 South American Championship, their first South American Championship outright. He hit .266 for the 2004 DSL Expos to earn him his one season in the US. He split 2005 between the GCL Nationals (.218/.313/.218 in 15 G) and the Vermont Expos (.286/.429/.304, 10 HBP in 35 G).

In 2007, Arnedo played for El Llano in Spain's Division Honor, hitting .374/.455/.533. He was 10th in the league in average, 12th in slugging and tied Jesus Golindano for 9th in OBP.

Arnedo helped his native Argentina claim a surprise Bronze Medal at the 2010 South American Games; he served as the team's captain. He was with Argentina for the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament, 2011 South American Championship (Gold Medal) and 2012 South American Championship (Gold).

Arnedo was hitting coach of the DSL Diamondbacks in 2015 and DSL Diamondbacks 1 in 2016. He then managed the DSL Diamondbacks 2 in 2017.
