Team History[edit]
The Dayton Dragons are a Cincinnati Reds affiliate in the Midwest League. They play their home games at Fifth Third Field in Dayton, Ohio. They were previously based in Rockford, Illinois and were named the Rockford Expos (1988-1992), Rockford Royals (1993-1994), Rockford Cubbies (1995-1998), and Rockford Reds (1999).
The team has sold out Fifth Third Field for every single game it has played since its move from Rockford in 2000. On July 9, 2011, the sellout streak reached 815 games, a record for any North American professional sports franchise. The previous record was held by the Portland Trail Blazers of the NBA.
