The son of Rich Dubee, Michael Dubee played in A ball in 2007.
Dubee was picked by the Chicago White Sox in the 20th round of the 2004 amateur draft out of high school. After a year at junior college, the Kansas City Royals took him in the 32nd round of the 2005 amateur draft. In the 2006 amateur draft, Michael was selected in the 18th round by the Philadelphia Phillies, for whom his father was the pitching coach.
Michael was 0-1 with a 1.29 ERA in two games for the GCL Phillies in 2006 and 1-2 with a 4.82 ERA and .327 opponent average in 10 for the Batavia Muckdogs. Moved to the bullpen, Dubee was 4-4 with a save, 3.88 ERA and almost a strikeout per inning in 30 games for the Lakewood BlueClaws. He was traded on July 27 to the Chicago White Sox for Tadahito Iguchi and assigned to the Kannapolis Intimidators.
