History, Comments, Contributions[edit]
The 1992 Milwaukee Brewers had the best season in franchise history between their trip to the 1982 World Series and their move to the National League in 1998. Their 92 wins placed them second in the AL East, just four games back of the Toronto Blue Jays, who would go on to win the 1992 World Series, and they would not win that many games in a season again until 2011. This was before the introduction of the wild card, however, so the team missed out on the postseason.
During the season, two pitchers had stretches during which they won ten consecutive decisions: they were Chris Bosio, who finished at 16-6, and rookie Cal Eldred who went 11-2 in 14 starts. That would be the Brewers' franchise record until Quinn Priester reeled off 11 straight wins in 2025.
