The Hermosillo Naranjeros have been a winter league powerhouse for decades. They won the Mexican Pacific League title in 1956-1957, 1960-1961, 1961-1962, 1963-1964, 1970-1971, 1974-1975, 1975-1976, 1979-1980, 1981-1982, 1989-1990, 1991-1992, 1993-1994, 1994-1995, 2000-2001, 2006-2007, 2009-2010 and 2013-2014 for 17 LMP pennants in 55 seasons; their 16 since the modern era began in 1958 are the most in league history. In 1976, the Orange Growers won the Caribbean Series for the first time; guiding them was legendary manager Benjamin Reyes. The Series MVP was Héctor Espino. They won their second title in 2014, when they were managed by Matt Carrillo and the MVP was Chris Roberson.
