Biographical Information[edit]

The son of big league catcher Harry Chiti, pitcher Dom Chiti was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 1976 amateur draft and played six seasons in the minors. After retiring as a player, he spent many years as a minor league coach. He spent time with the Charlotte O's in 1982, Bluefield Orioles in 1983-1984, and Charlotte again in 1985, Rochester Red Wings in 1986-1988.

Chiti was the Cleveland Indians bullpen coach from 1990 to 1993, and with the Texas Rangers bullpen coach from 2006 to 2008. In 2011, Chiti was a Special Assistant to GM for the Atlanta Braves. He was the named the Baltimore Orioles' bullpen coach in 2014, staying until the end of 2016.
