Team History[edit]
The Salem Red Sox began play in the Carolina League in 2009, when the Salem Avalanche become a Red Sox affiliate and took on a new name.
The team made history on April 23, 2019 when they debuted their 2019 radio broadcast team of Melanie Newman and Suzie Cool. It was the first all-female broadcast team in baseball history.
