Biographical Information[edit]
Jun Yamada was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 2nd round of the 1993 NPB draft, but he only got 8 at-bats for the big club before the Lions traded him to the Hiroshima Carp for Kenichi Takayama. He also hit .178/.236/.219 in 49 games for the 1995 Sioux City Explorers, fielding .851 at third base. He was 7-for-33 in 1999, but he went 1-for-6 in 2000 and he announced his retirement. Yamada later became a scout for the Rakuten Golden Eagles, signing Yuki Hayashi, Taishi Nakagawa, Ryota Takinaka, Yuma Yasuda, Tomotaka Matsui and Takahiro Norimoto.
