Biographical Information

Ryota Takinaka has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Takinaka set the Kansai6 Baseball League record by striking out 7 straight batters, and he pitched for Honda Suzuka in the industrial league. The Rakuten Golden Eagles selected him in the 6th round of the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Jun Yamada. Takeuchi was 2-1 with a 3.40 ERA in 2020, and he improved to 10-5 with a 3.21 ERA in 2021. He tied Kodai Senga, Hiromi Itoh, Kazuya Ojima and Wataru Matsumoto for 6th in wins in the Pacific League. However, Takinaka slumped to 2-9 with a 4.62 ERA in 2022, and he tied Enny Romero, Itoh, Naoyuki Uwasawa and Takahisa Hayakawa for 6th in losses. Takinaka only started 8 games with a 3.83 ERA in 2023, and he went 4-6 with a 4.16 ERA in 2024. He went 4-9 with 3.44 ERA in 2025, and he tied Kona Takahashi, Kohei Arihara, Austin Voth and Yutaro Watanabe for 3rd in losses.
