Biographical Information

Tomotaka Matsui had pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Matsui was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 5th round of the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Jun Yamada. He was 6-1 with a 1.17 ERA in the NPB Farm leagues in 2022, and he also started one game for the top team. Matsui then went 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA for the big club in 2023, but his ERA was 6.75 in 7 games in 2024.
