He started 2024 with San Antonio but was hitting just .177 after 24 games when he was traded to the Miami Marlins along with three other prospects, P Woo-Suk Go, OF Dillon Head and 1B Nathan Martorella, in return for two-time batting champion Luis Arráez on May 4th. He was assigned to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos of the Southern League. He hit .188 in 91 games for Pensacola, but .275 in 22 games for the AAA Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
