Biographical Information[edit]
Doug Gassaway pitched in the minor leagues in 1954-1955 and 1960. He pitched four games for the '54 Hornell Dodgers and six for the '55 Midland Indians (0-2). In 1960, he was 2-4 with a 8.10 ERA and 40 walks in 40 innings for the Tri-City Braves.
Gassaway scouted for the San Francisco Giants (1973), Philadelphia Phillies (1975-1986), Texas Rangers (1987-1992), Chicago Cubs (1993-1995), Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1998-2000), Arizona Diamondbacks (2001-2004) and New York Mets (2004-2011).
