Biographical Information[edit]

Cedeon Langguth has pitched for the Curaçao national team.

Langguth had a 34.36 ERA as a freshman at North Central Missouri and was 1-2 with a save and a 8.23 ERA as a sophomore. [1] Transferring to Missouri Valley, he had a 18.56 ERA in 5 games as a junior. In the 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup, he posted a 7.04 ERA in 3 games for the Netherlands. [2] As a graduate student, he had a 3-8, 6.93 record for Clark Atlanta University in 2019.

Suiting up for Curaçao in the 2022 Caribbean Baseball Cup, he started against Cuba and allowed 8 hits, 3 walks and 6 runs (all earned) in 4 innings but was outdueling Alexander Valiente when Djenior Mogen relieved; Cuba rallied to win. His team still won a spot in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games. [3] He was back with the country for the 2025 Bolivarian Games. Relieving Gedryon Basilia in the 7th with a 3-0 lead, one on and no outs against Peru, he walked Gianmarco Vega and Joaquín Vélez to load the bases; Clarence Martina took over. Both inherited runners would score as Peru rallied for an upset win on their way to a surprising Silver Medal. He also relieved Klevert Martina in the 4th with a 3-2 lead over Venezuela, one on and one out. He whiffed Robert Robertis and got Angel Arevalo on a grounder to end the inning. He gave up an unearned run in the 5th to tie it. After a scoreless 6th, he walked Wilkerman Garcia to open the 7th and gave way to Marlison Brunken, who let Garcia score, tagging Langguth with the loss against Cristian Fermin. [4]

Away from baseball, Langguth has been a research statistician for Curaçao's Bureau of Statistics. [5]
