Biographical Information[edit]

Robert Robertis has played in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.

Signing with the Toronto Blue Jays, he hit .266/.333/.344 for the 2021 DSL Blue Jays, handling 56 chances error-free in the outfield. In 2022, he bounced between the FCL Blue Jays (.290/.353/.402 in 34 G), Dunedin Blue Jays (3 for 20, R, 2 RBI) and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (5 for 17, 2B, 2 HR, 4 R, 5 RBI). That winter, he went 5-for-13 with a walk and a homer for the Tigres de Aragua, backing up former major leaguer José Martínez in left. In '23, he played for the FCL Blue Jays (.179/.314/.214 in 13 G) and Dunedin (.185/.282/.232 in 48 G). He again had an impressive winter, going 5-for-10 with a double.

In 2024, he repeated at the same two levels - .286/.412/.357 in 5 games in the FCL and .214/.329/.314 in 25 games for Dunedin then was 1-for-5 for the Tigres that winter. Let go by Toronto, he was with Venezuela when they won Bronze in the 2025 Bolivarian Games. He was 1-for-5 with a walk, steal, two runs and a RBI, handling one putout in left; his hit was off Eduardo Palacios of El Salvador. [1]
