Biographical Information[edit]
Clarence Martina has played in the minors and for the Curaçao national team.
He was signed by Washington Nationals scout David Leer in June 2022. [1] He had a 1-2, 3.52 record in 12 relief appearances for the 2023 DSL Nationals and played a little outfield, going 1-for-12 with 4 walks, 3 runs and a RBI. In 2024, he fell to 0-2, 12.00 for the same team. In 2025, he was 2-1 with a 9.72 ERA for the FCL Nationals. In the 2025 Bolivarian Games, he pitched one game for Curaçao. He relieved Cedeon Langguth in the 7th with a 3-0 lead over Peru but with the bases loaded and no outs. He plunked Liam Arakaki to force in a run then Daniel Liu hit into a run-scoring error. He got Yun Contreras then hit Alonso Tenya to force in the tying run. Marlison Brunken took over and got out of the inning but Peru would keep it up and pull off the upset win. [2] He was also on their roster for the 2025 Caribbean Baseball Cup, which overlapped with the Bolivarian Games schedulewise and was in a different country. Hurrying over to the Bahamas after the Bolivarian Games ended, he was one of a few players to appear in both tourneys (alongside Stephan Vidal, Jayden Felicia, Klevert Martina and Riordan Windster). In his lone outing in the Cup, he relieved Misja Harcksen in the 5th with a 7-0 lead over the US Virgin Islands national team and pitched a hitless inning but walked two and yielded two runs (he struck out one) then Klevert Martina came in.
