During the regular season, the 1919 Chicago White Sox had the highest batting average in the American League but were only fourth in ERA. Joe Jackson was third in the league in Adjusted OPS and Eddie Cicotte with 29 wins was far ahead of the rest of the pitchers in the league in wins. Buck Weaver led the league in at-bats and outs, while Eddie Collins led the league in plate appearances and in stolen bases. Lefty Williams led the league in games started.
