Before 1949 Season: Sent by the Cincinnati Reds to the Brooklyn Dodgers to complete an earlier deal made on September 29, 1948. The Cincinnati Reds sent a player to be named later and cash to the Brooklyn Dodgers for a player to be named later and Jimmy Bloodworth. The Cincinnati Reds sent Kermit Wahl (1949) to the Brooklyn Dodgers to complete the trade.

September 28, 1949: Traded by the Brooklyn Dodgers to the Philadelphia Athletics for Bill McCahan and $25,000.

June 4, 1951: Traded by the Philadelphia Athletics to the Chicago White Sox for Hank Majeski.
