December 13, 1949: Traded by the St. Louis Browns with Bob Dillinger to the Philadelphia Athletics for Ray Ippolito (minors), Ray Coleman, Billy DeMars, Frankie Gustine and $100,000.

April 30, 1951: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Philadelphia Athletics to the Chicago White Sox. The Chicago White Sox sent Dave Philley and Gus Zernial to the Philadelphia Athletics. The Philadelphia Athletics sent Lou Brissie to the Cleveland Indians. The Cleveland Indians sent Minnie Minoso to the Chicago White Sox. The Cleveland Indians sent Ray Murray and Sam Zoldak to the Philadelphia Athletics.

June 4, 1951: Traded by the Chicago White Sox with Kermit Wahl and cash to the St. Louis Browns for Don Lenhardt.

July 19, 1951: Selected off waivers by the Cleveland Indians from the St. Louis Browns.
