December 12, 1946: Purchased by the Pittsburgh Pirates from the Detroit Tigers.

December 3, 1947: Traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates with Vic Barnhart to the Brooklyn Dodgers for Monty Basgall.

September 29, 1948: Traded by the Brooklyn Dodgers to the Cincinnati Reds for cash. The Cincinnati Reds sent Kermit Wahl (1949) to the Brooklyn Dodgers to complete the trade.

May 10, 1950: Purchased by the Philadelphia Phillies from the Cincinnati Reds.

September 15, 1951: Released by the Philadelphia Phillies.
