        I distinctly remember Tom Morgan's two home runs in 1959. I was a young boy, listening to the games on the radio with my dad. The multi-talented Morgan was also used in pinch-hitting roles throughout the year.

Before 1949 Season: Signed by the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent.

February 19, 1957: Traded by the New York Yankees with a player to be named later, Rip Coleman, Milt Graff, Billy Hunter, Mickey McDermott, and Irv Noren to the Kansas City Athletics for players to be named later, Art Ditmar, Bobby Shantz, Jack McMahan, and Wayne Belardi. The New York Yankees sent Jack Urban (April 5, 1957) to the Kansas City Athletics to complete the trade. The Kansas City Athletics sent Curt Roberts (April 4, 1957) and Clete Boyer (June 4, 1957) to the New York Yankees to complete the trade.

November 20, 1957: Traded by the Kansas City Athletics with Billy Martin, Mickey McDermott, Lou Skizas, Tim Thompson, and Gus Zernial to the Detroit Tigers for a player to be named later, Bill Tuttle, Jim Small, Duke Maas, John Tsitouris, Frank House, and Kent Hadley.
