Before 1950 Season: Sent from Dunn-Erwin (Tobacco State) to the Detroit Tigers in an unknown transaction.

November 20, 1957: Traded by the Detroit Tigers with a player to be named later, Kent Hadley, Frank House, Jim Small, John Tsitouris and Bill Tuttle to the Kansas City Athletics for a player to be named later, Billy Martin, Mickey McDermott, Tom Morgan, Lou Skizas, Tim Thompson and Gus Zernial. The Detroit Tigers sent Jim McManus (April 3, 1958) to the Kansas City Athletics to complete the trade.

June 15, 1958: Traded by the Kansas City Athletics with Virgil Trucks to the New York Yankees for Bob Grim and Harry Simpson.
