Biographical Information[edit]
Wei-Chiang Kao played for the Chinese Taipei national team.
Kao was selected by the Uni-President Lions in the 6th round of the 2025 CPBL Draft, and he represented Taiwan in the 2025 Asian Championship. He started against Hong Kong, and he pitched 6 shutout innings with 9 Ks and only a single allowed to Hon-Man Ashley Ma. Kao then succeeded Mu-Heng Chen in the 2nd inning against Japan in the Gold Medal game, and he gave up a RBI single to Shohei Mizutani. Tomoya Furukawa then drove in a run with a flyball, and Kao retired Yuki Tsujimoto to end the inning. He then completed the next two inning with only a RBI single allowed to Furukawa, and Chih-Lin Lee succeeded him.
