Biographical Information[edit]
Shohei Mizutani played for the JR Tokai team in the Industrial League, and he represented Japan in the 2025 Asian Championship.[1] He debuted against the the Philippines, going 0-for-1 with 2 runs scored. Mizutani was then 2-for-3 with a double and a triple against Pakistani national team, and he went 2-for-3 again with a RBI versus China. He went 1-for-2 against Chinese Taipei, and he was named their starting right fielder in the Gold Medal Game. Mizutani was 2-for-5 with a RBI single against Mu-Heng Chen and Japan beat Taiwan to win the Gold. His 7 RBI were third, behind Keisho Amiya and Ryosuke Aizawa. He was 4th in OBP (.550) and tied Amiya for 4th in slugging (.667). He failed to crack the All-Star outfield as Tsz-Yin Jordan Wen, Amiya and John Vargas were selected. [2]
