Biographical Information[edit]
Keisho Amiya was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the first round of the development phase in the 2015 NPB draft, but he didn't reach the top team before he BayStars released him in 2018.[1] He then joined Yamaha in the Industrial League, and he represented Japan in the 2025 Asian Championship. Amiya debuted against the the Philippines, going 1-for-3, with a RBI double against Mar Joseph Carolino in the 3rd inning. He was then 1-for-3 with a solo shot (off Syed Muhib Shah) against Pakistani national team, and he went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI against China. Amiya went 1-for-3 versus Chinese Taipei, and he was hitless in 3 at-bats against South Korea. In the Gold Medal Game, he was 2-for-5 with a 2-run double against Sheng-En Lin and Japan beat Taiwan to win the Gold. Amiya led the tournament with 11 RBI, and he was named an All-Star outfielder along with Tsz-Yin Jordan Wen and John Vargas [2]
