Biographical Information[edit]
Tomoya Furukawa played for the Mitsubishi Okazaki team in the Industrial League, and he represented Japan in the 2025 Asian Championship.[1] He debuted against the the Philippines, going 2-for-4, with a double against Mar Joseph Carolino. Furukawa was then 0-for-3 against Pakistani national team, and he went 0-for-4 versus China. He went 0-for-3 against Chinese Taipei, and he was hitless in one at-bat against South Korea. In the Gold Medal Game, he was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI as their starting first baseman and Japan beat Taiwan to win the Gold. [2]
