Biographical Information

Wan Nazirul has played for the Malaysian national team.

In the 2024 East Asian Baseball Cup, he got Malaysia's lone win, defeating Sonkim Deap and Cambodia. He finished at 1-0 with a 7.85 ERA; on offense, he was 1 for 4 with a walk, steal, two runs and a RBI. He easily led Malaysia in ERA; Aiman Faqih was next at 30.18. He was second in the Cup in IP (18 1/3, 1/3 behind Jyoji Ito), second in strikeouts (13, one shy of Ito), tied Ito, Phanuwat Sukmuang and Netra Phon for second in games pitched (4), tied Gideon Lim for 3rd in wild pitches (5), was second with 5 hit batsmen (one behind Faqih), tied Ito for the most hits allowed (17), was 4th in walks (8), allowed the 5th-most runs (17) and was 3rd in earned runs (16).

The right-hander was 2-for-8 in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games (getting their first hit, off Indonesia's Muhammad Arrifqi Zavianda) and had a 0-2, 4.86 record, losing to Vietnam's Dang Dinh Bao and Singapore's Lim. Among Malaysian hurlers with 1+ IP, he again easily had the best ERA, Faqih again taking second (8.10). He tied Duong Nam Anh, Faqih and Joshua Tam for the most losses in the Games, tied for 4th in appearances (4, even with Ito, Ray Santoso, Zavianda and Lim), tied for 3rd in starts (2), was second in IP (16 2/3, again behind Ito, this time by 4 1/3), tied Yayua Wa for 9th in hits allowed (13), tied Ardhi Tristan Shah and Duong for 6th in runs allowed (15), tied Ching Kuang Chen for 5th in earned runs (11) and tied for 3rd in walks (8, the same as Dang and Yohan Xayaphone).
