Biographical Information[edit]
Đặng Đình Bảo has been on the Vietnamese national team.
He was named MVP of the first Hanoi Baseball Major Series, helping his Hanoi 29ers win the title. [1] He was with Vietnam for the 2025 Southeast Asian Games. In their debut against Silver Medal winner Thailand, he relieved Phạm Mạnh Chiến in the 3rd with a 8-0 deficit, one on and one out. He got Oliver Dunn on a fly and threw a wild pitch to score the inherited runner. After Joe Daru reached on an error and advanced on a passed ball, Jake Chaisongkram singled to make it 10-0. Bảo struck out Phuttabut Petsunthad to end the inning. He started the next day and threw a two-hitter, fanning 14, and allowing 2 runs (one earned) to beat Wan Nazirul and Malaysia. It was Vietnam's second win ever; the first had also come against Malaysia, in the 2011 Southeast Asian Games. He got one other start but lost to Bronze Medal winner Indonesia and Rawafi Yaputra Yanto Rozali. He finished the Games at 1-1, 5.25 for a team that had a 12.23 ERA and was 0-4 otherwise. He tied for 9th in the Games in appearances, tied for third in starts, was 6th in IP (12, between Romeo Jasmin Jr. and Linus Oudom), tied for the most runs allowed (19, even with Aiman Faqih, Nguyễn Ngọc Lanh and Pham) but was not in the top ten in earned runs, tied for 3rd in walks (8, behind Faqih and Ardhi Tristan Shah) and was second in strikeouts (16, 6 behind Jyoji Ito).
