• 1962 - Stan Musial gets his 3,431rd hit, breaking Honus Wagner's National League record.
• 2004 - Brad Thompson of the Tennessee Smokies reaches 57 consecutive scoreless innings, breaking the 97-year-old minor league record held by Irvin Wilhelm.
• 2005 - Long-time Chunichi Dragons leader Kazuyoshi Tatsunami hits his 450th career double, breaking the Nippon Pro Baseball record formerly held by Yutaka Fukumoto.
• 2008 - Jon Lester throws a no-hitter. Behind the plate is Jason Varitek, who becomes the first player in major league history to catch four official no-hitters.
