Nomar Rojas has pitched in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.

He was signed by Tampa Bay Rays scout William Bergolla. [1] He had a 3-2, 2.88 record for the DSL Rays 2 in 2019, his pro debut. After the 2020 minor league season was wiped out by COVID-19, he allowed two runs in three innings for the 2020-2021 Aguilas del Zulia in the Venezuelan League. He split 2021 between the FCL Rays (1-2, Sv, 4.22 in 4 G) and Charleston RiverDogs (3-1, 3.33 in 12 G). He allowed one run in 1/3 IP for the 2021-2022 Aguilas.

In '22, he pitched for the the Bowling Green Hot Rods (1-1, 3 Sv, 6.13 in 29 G) and Montgomery Biscuits (0 R in 1 IP) to end his time in the Rays chain. He was 3-1 with a 3.07 ERA for the 2022-2023 Aguilas. After missing a winter, he had a 3-1, 5.14 record for them in 2024-2025. He suited up for Venezuela in the 2025 Bolivarian Games, making three relief appearances. Against champion Colombia, he replaced Eduardo Figueroa in extra innings with the two starting runners aboard. He allowed a Daniel Vellojin single, struck out former major leaguer Dilson Herrera, threw a run-scoring wild pitch, walked Jesús Marriaga, uncorked another run-scoring wild pitch, whiffed Guillermo Quintana, intentionally walked Fabián Pertuz and K'ed José Ramos in taking the loss to Ezequiel Zabaleta. He saved Cristian Fermín's 5-3 win over Curaçao, striking out the side (Shendrion Martinus, Kay-Lan Nicasia and Reyhan Fecunda) around a walk to Ray-Jacson Chirino. He replaced Figueroa with a 1-1 tie in the 7th versus Peru and one aboard. He struck out Susumu Yoza and Joaquín Vélez then got Yun Contreras on a fly. Fermín then took over and Venezuela lost but wound up with a Bronze. Only Jorge Sivirichi made more appearances in the Games. Despite only pitching three innings, he tied Wilfredo Ramirez and Figueroa for 5th in strikeouts, having gotten 8 of his 9 outs via K. [2]

Rojas was 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA for Zulia in 2025-2026, tying for 5th in wins; he only worked 14 2/3 IP in his 25 games.
