Biographical Information

Shendrion Martinus has played in the minors and for the Curaçao national team.

He played for Willemstad in the 2019 Little League World Series. He was signed by Cincinnati Reds scout Dargello Lodowica in January 2024. He hit .260/.345/.290 for the DSL Rojos, fielding .965 at 2B, that summer. In 2025, he was at .229/.363/.289 for the DSL Rojos, fielding .897 at third base. He was the primary DH for Curaçao in the 2025 Bolivarian Games and had more RBI (9) in their 5 games than he had in 28 games in the minors that summer (7). He clubbed a 3-run homer off El Salvador's Héctor Martínez his first time up after having not gone deep in 58 games as a pro. He finished the Games at .313/.368/.583 with 3 runs; in his one game at second base, he had two assists and one error. He was 6th in slugging (between Giovanny Rivero and José Salas), led in RBI (two ahead of Daniel Vellojin, MVP Tito Polo and Stephan Vidal) and was one homer behind Vidal (the only player with multiple dingers). He was named as the All-Star DH; Vidal, at catcher, was the only other player from Curaçao selected.
