Biographical Information[edit]

Ray-Jacson Chirino has played in the minors and for the Curaçao national team.

He was signed by Cincinnati Reds scouts Fermin Coronel and Trey Hendricks in July 2019. [1] He hit .231/.320/.352 for the 2021 DSL Reds, fielding .983 at first base. He improved to .252/.367/.344 for the team in 2022 then came stateside with the 2023 ACL Reds, where he slipped to .177/.224/.290 to finish his minor league career at .229/.323/.336 with 46 runs and 42 RBI in 102 games. He was 0 for 1 for his native island in the 2024 Caribbean Baseball Cup. [2]

At the 2025 Bolivarian Games, he doubled off El Salvador's Héctor Martínez his first time up and had a 3-hit day. He finished at .333/.429/.389 with 4 runs and 4 RBI in 5 games, fielding .970. He was 4th with 31 putouts (between Dennis Ortega and Luis Atocha), tied Andrés Duque for 5th in hits (6) and tied for 6th in RBI. [3]
