Biographical Information[edit]
Chieh-En Yang played for the Chinese Taipei national team. His uncle is former CPBL star pitcher Chien-Fu Yang.
Yang represented Taiwan in the 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He was selected by the Fubon Guardians in the 7th round of the 2025 CPBL Draft, but he refused to sign. He represented Taiwan in the 2025 Asian Championship, and he relieved Yu-Chieh Wang in the 8th inning against Japan. Yang retired Ryosuke Aizawa, but he then walked the next three batters, Tomoya Furukawa, Yuki Sato and Yukiya Yano, so Cheng-Hao Wang replaced him. Wang plunked Shohei Mizutani to help Japan score the winning run, and Yang got the loss. He then succeeded Meng-yang Lu against China, and he retired all three batters he faced. Yang relieved Wang in the 8th inning against Japan in the Gold Medal game, and he struck out Mizutani but allowed a single to Furukawa. He then fanned Yuki Tsujimoto, and Furukawa was tagged out at second while stealing.
