Biographical Information[edit]
Andrius Stravinskas Jr. has been on the Lithuanian national team. His father Andrius Klaidas Stravinskas played for Lithuania in the 2010s.
Stravinskas hit .235/.350/.235 for Lithuania in the 2022 U18 European Championship. He made the Lithuanian senior team by the 2022 European Championship Qualifier, just 3 years after his father's swan song for the national team. He was 1 for 2; his one hit was a biggie, a single off Andrea Girasole of Switzerland that led to the winning run coming home via error on the play, ending a 15-14 slugfest. He came to the US for college; he did not play as a freshman or sophomore but did see time in the Florida Collegiate Summer League. He was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run in the 2024 European Championship Qualifier, with a hit off Matti Nylander of Finland. Lithuania won for a spot in the 2025 European Championship, their first European Championship ever. He batted for Audrius Beliauskas in their opening loss to Greece and singled off minor league veteran Noah Zavolas. He got their first European Championship run later that inning when Matas Sirgedas was plunked with the bases loaded to make it 2-1; Lithuania scored two more but failed to hold on. He started two of Lithuania's other 3 games in left and finished 3-for-7 with a walk, hit-by-pitch, steal, two runs and a RBI. In their other game, he pitched, relieving Justinas Račkauskas during a 16-0 loss to Italy; he got Miguel Fabrizio on a grounder but walked Jhorjan Guevara and Jesus Carrera, retired Ricardo Paolini and walked Noel González. Domantas Trinkunas took over and let all 3 inherited runners score. Only Edvardas Matusevičius had more hits for Lithuania in their first European Championship.
