The 2019 CPBL season featured a 4th ERA title in five seasons for Mike Loree and a much closer race after the Lamigo Monkeys had dominated 2018. Lamigo cruised to their third straight title, though, taking four of five in the 2019 Taiwan Series in their final season (the team was sold to Japanese company Rakuten).

Awards[edit]

Lamigo's Yu-Hsien Chu hit .347/.395/.605 with 30 homers and 105 RBI to win CPBL MVP. The CPBL Rookie of the Year was his teammate Cheng-Wei Chen, who hit .300 with 11 triples and stole 22 bases.
