Biographical Information

Outfielder Miles Durham reached AA in 2009.

Durham was picked by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 22nd round of the 2006 amateur draft. He hit .201/.239/.302 in his pro debut that year for the Williamsport Crosscutters, but did play error-free ball in the outfield. Miles batted .255/.310/.369 for the 2007 State College Spikes.

Durham started 2008 with a bang for the Hickory Crawdads (.348/.394/.585, 24 2B, 14 HR, 57 RBI in 78 G) and was promoted to the Lynchburg Hillcats, for whom he hit .220/.275/.344 in 57 games. His 81 total RBI tied Jared Keel for the lead among Pirates farmhands. In '09, Miles split time between Lynchburg (.296/.348/.490 in 65 G) and the Altoona Curve (.275/.331/.425 in 65 G).

Durham had the first pro RBI against Stephen Strasburg, the #1 pick in the 2009 amateur draft, doubling in Alex Presley in Strasburg's first inning in the minors.

Durham became a coach with the West Virginia Power in 2013 and Altoona Curve in 2014.
