Mike Jackson was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies and scout Doug Gassaway as a 2nd round pick (special) in the January 1984 amateur draft.

Jackson is tied with Paul Assenmacher for most games pitched in the 1990s (644). During the course of his career, he made more than 1,000 pitching appearances as a major leaguer, a feat that has been accomplised by only a dozen other pitchers in history.

Jackson threw a fastball that maxed out at 98 MPH, a slider, and a forkball.
