Biographical Information[edit]
Brother of major leaguers Hal and George, William Jeffcoat pitched in the Philadelphia Athletics, Brooklyn Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, and Pittsburgh Pirates farm systems from 1935 to 1946, starting his first professional season at just 17 years old. There was another brother, Charles Jeffcoat who also played minor league ball as did nephew Harold Jeffcoat.
