Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Steve Mintz played pro baseball for a dozen seasons with cups of coffee in the majors in 1995 and 1999. He retired during the 2001 season and became a minor league instructor in the Anaheim Angels organization.

Mintz moved on to the Minnesota Twins organization the next year and spent 2002-2005 as the pitching coach for the GCL Twins. In 2006-2007, he was the pitching coach for the Beloit Snappers and in 2008 he held the same post for the New Britain Rock Cats. He was the pitching coach of the Fort Myers Miracle in 2009-2012.

Mintz moved to the Texas Rangers organization as pitching coach of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2013-2014 and High Desert Mavericks in 2015. He got his first managerial assignment with the Hickory Crawdads in 2016. Mintz returned to coaching with the Down East Wood Ducks in 2017.

Mintz was manager of the Adelaide Bite in the 2015-2016 season.
