Biographical Information[edit]
Min-kyu Hong has played in Korea Baseball Organization.
Hong was drafted by the Doosan Bears in the 3rd round of the 2025 KBO draft, and he pitched 20 games with a 4.59 ERA for the big club in 2025.[1] He then represented South Korea in the 2025 Asian Championship. Hong pitched 2/3 of a shutout inning against Hong Kong with a strikeout of Tsz-Yin Jordan Wen, and he completed 2 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts versus Palestine to get the win over Ahmad Harajli. Hong was named the starter against Japan, and he pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings with 2 strikeouts against Shinnosuke Nishimura and Shogo Fukui. He only allowed 3 hits and 3 walks, and he got the win over Shota Masui. Korea beat China to won Bronze. [2]
